1991 - Peugeot 205 GTI Griffe Chassis n° VF320CDK224217989 French registration Notice: "Très bel exemplaire, nombreux travaux récents". In 1990, the Lion brand presented a special edition of its already wonderful 205 GTI... The inspiration came directly from the great chef, Jean Todt, who had decided to have his GTI repainted in a metallic fluorite green. The result was so beautiful that Peugeot management decided to produce 3,000 examples, christened "Griffe". Our example is delivered new in Germany, and is therefore in its catalyzed version developing 122 hp. It arrived in France in 2014, at the home of an enthusiast who, over the years, has carried out a considerable amount of work on it. Notable among these is a complete repaint in April 2024, just before its sale to the current owner. The quality of the work is quite good, even if some points could be improved (see condition report). The interior appears to be original, and is in very good condition. Immediately after the body work, our example received extensive mechanical attention, including replacement of the shock absorbers in June 2024, the timing belt two months later, a complete overhaul of the braking system in September 2024, and replacement of the steering rack in January 2025. Today, the car has just over 206,000 km on the odometer, and is running well, despite having seen little use since joining the current owner's collection. In order to restore it to perfect condition, Atelier 46 in Courbevoie carried out a number of refurbishments prior to the sale (list and invoice available on request). The 205 GTI Griffe is one of the rarest musts to add to a collection of youngtimers. Valuations are still reasonable, and good-quality examples are becoming hard to find... Here's another chance!
